Eri Silk Stole: A Versatile and Seasonal Accessory Woven with Handspun and Mill Spun Eri Silk, Dyed with Natural Colors and Used for Honoring Individuals in North Eastern Traditions

The Eri Silk Stole is woven on handloom using handspun eri spun silk & mill spun eri spun silk. This ‘Ahimsa Silk’ stole is worn irrespective of the seasons by both men & women globally in different ways like hanging from neck/wrapping around the neck etc. Basically it is woven accordingly with coarser handspun/mill spun eri silk yarn for winter season & fine count mill spun yarn for other seasons.

Natural dyes are used to dye Mill spun/hand spun Eri silk yarn for weaving the stoles.This stole is also used to felicitate people with honour in North Eastern states during different traditional / cultural occasion. It takes 7-10 days to weave the stole.
