Eri Silk Weaving: A Generational Tradition and Heirloom Knowledge Among the Women of Meghalaya

Eri silk, a popular fabric among the people of Meghalaya is woven by the women folk with techniques passed down for generations. Weaving with Eri is an important part of the traditions of the people and it’s often considered an Heirloom knowledge among the weavers in the state.
