Lifecycle of the Mulberry Silkworm: Female Moths Lay 300-400 Eggs on Mulberry Leaves and Die Within 4-5 Days

Each Female mulberry silkworm lays about 300 to 400 eggs at a time on mulberry leaves. These eggs are placed in clusters on the leaves covered by a gelatinous substance that glues them to the surface of the mulberry leaves. After laying eggs the female moth dies within 4-5 days as the month does not eat any food.
