Department of Textiles & C& RD through Textiles Department brand “Ryndia “ & “Tribal Weaves” of Textiles &C&RD respectively besides handicrafts of the Tourism Departments Meghalayan Age represented Meghalaya at the recently held G20 International Craft bazar on the sidelines of the recently concluded G20 summit at New Delhi.

Honble PM Narendra Modi and Shri Harsh Singhla Head of G20 visited the Meghalaya stall, interacted with the Meghalaya team & expressed keen interest in the organically produced, ethically sourced Meghalaya Eri Ryndia that syncs with the SDG goals of climate action, women’s empowerment & sustainable livelihoods.

FR Kharkongor Commissioner & Secretary Textiles & C& RD led the Textiles & C& RD teams initially for Coordination purposes and Textiles Dept officials represented the State at the G20 Exhibitions.
