Mulberry Silk: High-Quality Continuous Filament Silk with Intensive Production Requirements

Mulberry silk is known as one of the finest silk in the textile industry spun with a continuous filament. Silk filaments from several cocoons are wound together to create a single thread of raw silk.

To produce a pound of raw silk about 2500 silkworms are required, and it takes about three days for a mulberry silkworm to make a cocoon around itself using the silk filaments.
