The two day festival was organized by the weavers under Nongtluh Eri Farmers Association (NEFA), the Chief Guest of the occasion was Mayralborn Syiem, MLA of Nongpoh who was present along with other dignitaries.
The festival which literally translates to 'Protect and Preserve Our Roots' is a festival organsied with the objective to sustain the culture, identity, dialect of the indigenous people.
The various programmes at the festival included traditional dances, folklores with the spotlight on rearing, weaving with Ryndia and natural dyeing which is an heirloom of the of the weavers of Umden.
The festival had various stalls ranging from stalls that sold Ryndia products, traditional food, handmade accessories and decor as well stalls that displayed the processing of Ryndia as well as natural dyes.
