North East Textile Promotion Scheme is launched with the objective to develop and modernise the textile sector in the North East Region by providing the required Government support in terms of raw material, machinery, common facility centers, skill development, design and marketing support etc.

This project has largely contributed to the upliftment of women weavers in Lawbah village.
