The uniqueness of the eri-silk produced by the weavers of Ri-bhoi, Meghalaya is that it is organic.

‘Ksai Ryndia’ or eri silk yarn creamy white in colour, is often dyed naturally giving the yarn vibrant colours for weaving.

Thirty-three plant species have been reported to be used by the Bhoi women weavers for dyeing eri-silk from plants and plants parts such as like leaves, bark, fruits, stem and even peels.
