In recognition of the overall collective & unique achievements & initiative of the people of Umden-Diwon, it will be declared as the State's first Eri Silk Village on the 12th of February 2021.

This declaration is to inspire the weavers and spinners, through capacity building, design upscaling, financial assistance, promotion, selling & marketing, & integrating the sector with the latest technology to enable it to further develop itself as a self-reliant, vibrant village.
