The Union Secretary Textiles, Shri. Upendra Prasad Singh visited Meghalaya's first Eri Silk village at Umden, Diwon today.

As part of his visit, interaction sessions with weavers, farmers, dyers and reelers was held at Duya Hall.

He also visited the Design Innovation Resource Centre, a Design Resource Centre build by the Department of Textiles, in collaboration with National Institute of Fashion Technology, Shillong.
