Also known as Pomblang Nongkrem, this festival is celebrated by the Khasi tribe of Meghalaya to honour the Goddess ‘Ka Blei Synshar’ for a bountiful harvest and prosperity.

Shad Nongkrem is a religious festival filled with traditional music, dance and rituals carried out by the community who still practice the traditional religion.
